Job Description

As our Independent Sales Representative, you will be directly contributing to the growth of White Duck Outdoors by playing an integral role in developing our wholesale channel through prospecting, cultivating leads and closing deals within your territory. 

Sales Management

  • Maintain success through account management and seeking opportunities for new business
  • Manage direct relationships with retailers, as well as relationships with regional buying groups
  • Sell-in of preseason and ASAP orders on a seasonal basis through consistent communication with all dealers
  • Brand forecast by season
  • Provide dealers an inventory analysis and make suggestions for improving their business
  • Review current dealer assortment and suggests/promotes additional sales opportunities
  • Manage the sell-through of products in stores/online
  • Ensure dealers have all current sales support materials and merchandising/POP as available
  • Review dealer’s sales performance
  • Store clinic management; Set up and run technical clinics for staff and direct-to-consumer events

Communication

  • Must be able to create a value-added-partner relationship with the accounts
  • Establish regular communication and strong relationships with key dealers
  • Become an expert in the features and benefits of our brand
  • Ensure all dealer/customer information is current in company and sales CRM
  • Maintain an ongoing call and email scheduling, manage booking orders, and successfully assist dealers with any brand-related topics
  • Provide timely follow-up

Order Management

  • Responsible for order entry for all assigned dealers
  • Ensure all orders are delivered on time and as complete as possible
  • Follow up on all order delays and any issues

Travel / Trade Shows / Sales Meetings / Clinics / Samples

  • Attend industry trade shows & sales metings
  • Organize and attend in store visits and clinics
  • Assist in the organization of brand samples
  • Multi-week travel is possible during preseason selling-season

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales representative role, outdoor industry preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company
  • Works well independently, as well as within a team
  • Very strong presentation skills
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • A passion for building relationships
  • National travel is expected
  • Must have vehicle, valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • A self-starter attitude and eagerness to learn

The team is 100% remote and most operations are out of Salt Lake City, UT.
