Job Description & Requirements
Tabar provides private label brands in the outdoor industry with services ranging from custom design and innovation of gloves and accessories to manufacturing and logistics.
Development Principal Duties:
Acts as the client point person on multiple accounts/brands and maintains client relationships.
Works with clients to establish design/development needs.
Collaborates with the Senior Designer to create design concepts.
Seeks out innovative materials and technologies that can be applied to our products.
Builds and maintains tech packs throughout the development process.
Communicates development changes and approvals with Shanghai team/Factory.
Communicates timelines and pricing to customer.
Ensures execution of fit intent and fit consistency through clear analysis, documentation, communication, adherence to fit standards
Tracks multiple client lines simultaneously to ensure they meet (or exceed) quality standards, customer expectations, and are on-time.

Ability to design and develop entire lines around clients’ identity, desired functions, price points, etc.
Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure.
Solid knowledge of product category, product materials, and product development lifecycle.
Able to proactively troubleshoot and propose solutions to problems.
Have fit, patternmaking, and construction expertise, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Willingness to jump in on a variety of tasks to help the team.
BS in Product Design, Development or related field
3+ years of experience in product development, preferably in the outdoor industry
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
PLM software experience a plus.
