Job Description & Requirements

Vitec Imaging Solution's Petaluma office is looking for a passionate, driven, team member to support the global marketing of the Lowepro and JOBY brands.

Sr. Communications Specialist Role:
Under the coordination of the Communications Manager, the candidate will actively develop and execute strategies for brand and product launches; oversee promotion of strategies through social media, digital and traditional channels (PR and media advertising activities) supporting the local brand and product marketing teams. 

Main Responsibilities and Activities:
- Develop and execute online and offline communication strategies for brand and product launches in collaboration with product marketing teams across brands in collaboration with agencies
- Work with internal and external stakeholders (influencers or agencies) for visual content creation with emphasis on digital assets 
- Manage annual communications budget, perform monthly budget checks
- Manage creation of industry partner and local ambassador deliverable guidelines and agreements in collaboration with Social Media & Community      Manager
- Monitor monthly editorial calendars, ensuring content is aligned with overarching brand and product objectives
- Maintain open communication with brand teams to update on activities and learn their needs and requests
- Create PR and media strategies in accordance with predefined product roadmaps 
- Define digital and print advertising strategies and budget in accordance with predefined product roadmaps
- Work directly with publications to create advertising contracts and ensure deliverables are received on time

Qualifications and Experience:
- 4-year degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Media Studies and/or related fields
- 3-5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in developing and implementing communication activities for a company that offers B2B and B2C products
- Demonstrated experience creating effective, comprehensive product communication strategies
- Project management experience with emphasis in working with deadlines and flexibility to adapt to changes
- Experience managing PR & advertising campaigns
- Experience managing social media platforms and communities for brands
- In depth knowledge of marketing communications principles and best practices
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker with strong attention to detail
- Collaborative personality accustomed to working with external and internal teams
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop and visual design programs
- Passionate about photography, videography, and the outdoors preferred
