Job Description & Requirements

As the Product Development Coordinator for Allen Company You Will:
  1. Own everything related to product data from writing copy for new items to assigning part numbers and UPC codes
  2. Gather, upload and maintain product data for new and existing items in our ERP, Epicor
  3. Assist the Product Development team in staying on task and schedule for projects by maintaining the product tracking software and informing the team of the timeline

What Will You Be Doing:

  • Write copy for new items
  • Research product, market, and retail data for product development
  • Coordinate sample requests and sample receipt check-in
  • Maintain and update data on the following project management tools: Roadmap, Project List, Project Briefs
  • Research and implement tools to streamline our process, data entry and integrity
  • Update camo patterns for continuing designs
  • Maintain and update Epicor (ERP) system with data for all new products
  • Create and maintain part numbers and UPC codes.  Assign UPC codes in GS1.
  • Build and maintain price list for Sales to include all necessary information for sales, updating frequently.
  • Track projects for product development.  Keep projects on deadlines, meet milestones.  Develop deliverables list for each product manager that can be pulled from product development lists.
  • Track photos, store photos in Salsify when necessary
  • Build a vendor price book and keep vendor quote sheets
  • Build agendas by factory for Asia trips
  • Coordinate stage gate process and track gate specific deliverables

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of hunting and shooting products and their uses
  • Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
  • Strong aptitude for learning new computer systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including grammar
  • Ability to work independently on several tasks and projects simultaneously
