Job Description & Requirements:

GRAYL is seeking a team player to manage GRAYL’s domestic retail sales programs and new business development into untapped verticals. This position will work alongside the CEO and Co-founder, leading and motivating our team of domestic sales reps, traveling to regional and national shows, and developing strategies for new business in new channels including but not limited to: Military/Federal, NGO’s, Global Health organizations, and Corporate Travel companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation

  • Sales process and opportunity development

  • Sales Rep Management - Training/Education/Program Building/Accountability

  • Strategic Sales Programs

  • Managing sales pipeline and new business opportunities

 

The Sales Manager:

  • Work closely with Executives to design, implement and manage sales forecasting, planning and budgeting processes to grow revenue and achieve company’s sales goals.

  • Identify sales process improvements that allow for better order management, dealer engagement and sell-through at existing accounts.

  • Define the optimal key performance indicators required to ensure sales success.  Align reporting, training, and incentive programs with these KPIs.

  • Work with nationwide sales rep force to motivate and inspire action to own and grow their territory sales, utilizing KPIs, sales specials and incentives.

  • Develop strategic plans and utilize resources to protect brand from advertised pricing violations  

  • Outgoing, fun and positive with a genuine passion to sell.

  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to use and share data to support and drive decisions

  • Enjoys improving processes, systems, and procedures.

  • Maintain and share professional and technical knowledge of outdoor and water treatment markets, competitors and technologies.

  • Excellent communicator and motivator of people and stakeholders.

  • A genuine people person, strong leader and team player every day.

  • Possess creative problem-solving skills, strong work ethic and impeccable ethics.

  • Travels to regional and national sales shows and conferences.


New Business Development:


  • Drive new revenue generation through pipeline of key target partners.

  • Source new business opportunities, including securing new partners and account extensions.

  • Increase penetration within new and existing verticals by negotiating new partnerships, sponsorships and marketing actions.

  • Work with marketing team to develop/launch comprehensive plans supporting sales initiatives.

  • Work with forecasting and manufacturing team to inform inventory needs due to new partnerships.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS


  • 5+  years of related sales experience

  • Experience in a sales environment within the outdoor industry, adventure travel, emergency preparation, or other related fields is preferred

  • Demonstrated success in establishing relationships and networks

  • Track record of growing revenue through incremental sales and new business

  • Ability to thrive and stand out in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent negotiation, sales and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Detailed, organized, punctual, prudent, and a planner

  • Thrives in challenging situations and is calm under pressure

  • Passionate about delighting customers and has a passion for the outdoors and international travel
