Established in 1947 Kroops is a small house of brands that manufactures sports eyewear. Since our founding more than 70 years ago we’ve been primarily focused on our network of wholesalers and retailers around the world. The time has come for us to develop a direct line of contact to our end consumer. We are searching for a well rounded individual with the creative and technical skills to help us build our d2c channel.In this job you will be tasked with developing and more importantly executing an entire digital marketing plan for our small brands. If you’re the right person you’ll be highly creative, well spoken and technical enough to develop or with work with developers to get things done.  You’ll love all things social media, designing and building websites, and  creating great content.  Most important of all you’ll be looking for a place that you can leave your mark on, a place that you can make a real difference and not just a job. 

 

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Use your creative / artistic skills and best practices to design new ecommerce sites for our various customer segments.
  • Find and Manage outsourced web developers to turn your ecommerce designs into reality. (Please note we expect that you’d be able to do some minor web development and tweaking on your own or at least you’d be willing to learn how to do this.) 
  • Develop a Social Media plan designed at targeting specific segments of the outdoor and sporting goods industry.
  • Execute your social media plan by creating and posting daily/weekly content.
  • Create content for  blogs specific to our markets.
  • Find and nurture social media influencers in specific market segments
  • Monitor and post to market specific forums on topics related to our equipment
  • Design and build landing pages specific to the  marketing campaigns you’ve developed.
  • Research and learn best practices and then build out Amazon stores for our consumer products.
  • Create email marketing campaigns including writing, design, scheduling, tracking, and A/B testing
  • Build database leads through market research, ads, promotional campaigns 
  • Setup and manage Google AdWords campaigns
  • Setup and manage Facebook ads, Instagram Ads and ads on other digital mediums
  • Perform keyword research and competitive analysis
  • Monitor and evaluate search results and performance across major search channels
  • Set up and Monitor Google Analytics
  • Support other online initiatives as needed, such as SEO, SEM, web metrics and web content deployment
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 4 year degree preferably in graphic design, digital marketing, marketing or a computer science degree with a minor in design or similar.
  • 3 + years experience with Photoshop & Illustrator or similar programs to create ads, social media posts,...
  • 3+ years of experience in web design or similar digital content marketing
  • A deep understanding of all of the major social media outlets and how they can be used to grow brand awareness. 
  • 1+ years' experience with Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and paid search (SEM); paid advertising in social media, display advertising and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • 1+ years’ experience with email marketing campaigns on platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, or similar. 

Preferred but not Required Qualifications

  • A functional understanding of HTML, CSS, metadata, etc. 
  • Ability to optimize search results by developing specific content for branded and generic terms
  • Knowledge of Google algorithms and ranking factors
  • Experience working with ecommerce carts such as woocommerce, shopify, or magento
  • Experience implementing Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns          
  • Digital copywriting experience
  • Understanding of outbound/inbound marketing principles
  • Ability to interpret and apply brand standards to online marketing initiatives

Salary and Benefits Package

This job has a base salary of $50,000 per year plus significant bonuses based on success.

  • Ten days paid vacation per year, prorated from start date.
