General Summary:
The Ambassador & Outreach Marketing Specialist will report to the Marketing Manager. This
role is responsible for running Yeti’s ambassador, event sponsorship and donation request
marketing programs. The ideal candidate has a passion for mountain biking and the outdoor
industry, enjoys working with others and has strong attention to detail.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ambassador Program -
o Work with Marketing Manager to define Yeti Ambassador program annual
strategy.
o Maintain solid understanding of Ambassador roster and the value each member
brings to the program.
o Lead day to day communication with Ambassadors, sharing insight on current
and upcoming Yeti marketing initiatives and product launches.
o Administer and review quarterly reports, ensuring ambassadors are engaged
with the brand and fulfilling contract requirements.
o Keep a pulse on Ambassador social media content to ensure they are accurately
representing Yeti. Work with our Social Media Specialist to share and re-post
content on Yeti social media channels.
o Manage incoming content and project pitches from Ambassadors. Work with
Marketing Manager and Marketing Director to determine what projects are
funded.
- Provide guidance as needed to help Ambassadors submit relevant pitch
proposals.
- Manage incoming content from Ambassadors, ensuring it’s organized and
accessible to the marketing team.
o Work with Marketing Manager to coordinate ambassador participation in Yeti
photo and video shoots.
o Execute and maintain Ambassador contracts.
o Work with Customer Service team to set up Yeti Pro accounts for ambassadors.
When necessary, work with internal sales team to process ambassador orders.
- Event & Outreach -
o Execute Yeti event sponsorship, working with Marketing Manager to determine
annual event selection.
o Understand event details thoroughly and coordinate internal staff support well
in advance for events.
o Manage and execute product fulfillment in a timely manner, working with the
product team as needed to select product.
Job Qualifications, Competencies, and Key Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in product/sales/marketing/Ecommerce
positions. 1-3+ years of related professional experience.
- Strong writing, communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Ability to operate in Adobe Creative Suite is
a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills, in person, on the phone and in writing.
- Capable of working in a dynamic team environment, sometimes on short timelines.
- Experience working in the bike or mountain bike industry is a plus.
Work Environment:
Yeti Cycles is a ride-driven company. Everything we do revolves around making the best bikes in
