As a Customer Support Specialist, you:

  • Efficiently handle customer contact through all avenues and can provide expert-level product knowledge to a variety of customers, regardless of experience levels, and sell them into the rig?ht product based on their personal needs.
  • Effectively balance a variable workload, shifting when necessary to meet the demands of the department and company.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while on the phone, communicating via email or other various messaging platforms.
  • Diligently use and understand all of Guidefitter’s contact center and ticketing management systems as well as individual channel ordering sites and associated features.
  • Look for opportunities to improve overall customer experience by identifying and contributing to process improvements.


Skills and experience preferred for this role:

  • Strong customer service experience, preferably in the outdoor industry via retail or in house sales?/service.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to problem-solve and actively listen with a focus on win-win solutions, even in sticky situations. You can turn people into fans while solving complicated support issues.
  • Capacity to task switch quickly and efficiently, balancing a large inbound phone?/?email workload.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand large product lines, technologies and expertly explain the benefits.
  • Outdoor industry experience and a passion for hunting, fishing and the outdoors is a plus, but not required.
