Now in its 47th year, Wheat Ridge Cyclery is an acclaimed and highly regarded industry leader. With an emphasis on premium hospitality and expert guidance, WRC is currently seeking full-time and part-time sales techs with professional bicycle fitting certification and experience.
WRC is a 30,000 sq ft single location bicycle shop with an in-season staff of 70 spirited and passionate cycling devotees.
WRC is a Retül Certified Shop performing over 500 fits annually.
SALES & FIT JOB SUMMARY
As a sales tech, assist customers in new bike selection from floor inventory.
As a fitter, assist customers in custom bike selection via Seven Cycles, Trek Project One, and Specialized S-Build.
During the fit process, determine proper frame size, handlebar width, stack and reach, saddle selection, saddle height, saddle fore/aft, leg extension, cleat placement, cleat shims and foot beds.
Describe and sell products to successfully fulfill customers’ expressed needs.
Provide customers with the highest quality bike fit to improve performance and comfort.
Sales of bikes, apparel, parts, and accessories.
Rider interview.
Physical assessment.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand and interpret rider needs through comprehensive interview and assessment process.
Conduct a thorough physical and structural pre-assessment to determine flexibility and potential compromised movement.
Complete dynamic analysis of the rider while on their bike and in motion utilizing the Retül System.
Complete necessary adjustments to the rider’s bike based on pre-fit analysis, observations on the bike, and data gathered from motion analysis equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, changing equipment and making component adjustments.
Generate a report of the work performed for the customer including bike measurements and equipment changes that will assist the customer with future purchases, adjustments, and equipment needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
Demonstrates complete knowledge of road, mountain, time trial, triathlon, e-bikes and hybrid bikes as well as the mechanical ability to change stems, handlebars, saddles, pedals, and various other componentry required in a bike fit.
Must also have the ability to keep organized records of rider fit measurements, follow up schedules and ensuring guest are provided the proper information to come properly prepared for their fits.
Ideal candidate has minimum three years’ experience in a bicycle retail environment performing retail sales and successful fitting service as described above.

Bicycle Fitting certification from a recognized, established motion-capture bike fitting program such as:

RETAIL SUPPORT REP JOB SUMMARY
Perform duties ranging from greeter, to bike runner to online sales fulfillment. Greeters work the entryway ensuring each customer is welcomed and often will introduce them to an available sales tech. Runners pull bikes from the warehouse and deliver them to the sales techs as customers test ride a variety of prospective bikes for their purchase decision. Online sales fulfillment duties involve pulling products from stock to fill online orders, processing payment and preparing the packaging and shipping.
