JOB TITLE
Events & Sales Associate
SUMMARY
Based at the corporate headquarters in Anaheim, California, the key objective of this role is to energize the consumer and inspire them to buy into the Box culture and brand. As an Events & Sales Associate, you will collaborate with marketing, operations, and logistics to ensure timely execution of all initiatives and events. This position provides mission-critical support to the Sales Manager and customers to accomplish growth goals and consistently maintain the business plan.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend all assigned BMX & MTB Events across the United States.
- Identify new events to attend to grow brand awareness.
- At events, set up booth space to maximize a good brand image.
- Prepare a report to the Sales Manager & Marketing Manager after each event concludes with a summary, pros, cons, and recommended areas of improvement
- Present BMX programs during events to riders and teams.
- Identify and review strategic partnerships and trends within the BMX community collaborating with the Sales Manager and President.
- Manage all team sponsorship relationships, orders, and requirements.
- Recommend sponsorship opportunities with potential athletes and teams.
- Provide guidance and assist with social media strategy with the Box BMX page.
- Perform outbound calls with BMX Track Vendors and new business partners after each event to obtain new replacement orders for the vendor.
- Work with internal team members to ensure customer’s needs are met while seeking new product trends and reporting back to product development team.
- Attend events and sales meetings to actively communicate with customers and sales reps, as needed.
- Assist with order processing and for Marketing sample needs.
- Align work with strategic goals and targets and adapt strategy to changing conditions when necessary.
- This role will be expected to travel 50% of the time with 50% in the office.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATION
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong overall computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and G-Suite.
- Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills and excellent phone skills.
- The ability to think on your feet with a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
- 2-3 years related experience in event management, sales or marketing.
- Experience as a bicycle mechanic or bicycle industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to be on your feet for 8 -12 hours per day. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted, moving boxes, bicycles, and tents for events, shipping products, and other tasks.
ENVIRONMENT
Standard Office. Domestic and International travel to include weekends and for periods as long as a week at a time.
