Summary:
The Factory Sales Representative is responsible for providing world-class customer service to our authorized dealers, their staff and consumers by offering punctual return of phone calls, emails, text messages and regular in-person meetings. Their knowledge of the bicycle industry in the territory they are assigned should allow them to develop new business, increase sales at existing customers and broaden the distribution of the assigned brands while exceeding sales goals both in dollars and units. Additionally, they should act as an ambassador for all United Wheels brands. Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
= Achieve or Exceed Monthly and Yearly sales quotas and objectives both in dollar and unit sales while maintaining a healthy profit margin set forth by the company.
= Broaden distribution of brands by aggressively opening new dealers and channels of distribution.
= Provide best in class customer service by being the conduit between the customer and United Wheels utilizing all communications tools that are currently available.
= Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of our brands how they compete in the marketplace and how best to elevate them on the retail floor.
= Always maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude when interfacing with retailers and the general public.
= Be an active participant in local and regional events to promote the brands and to conduct product trainings at our retail partners’ store and events.
= Demonstrate an ability to use company supplied IT equipment to keep daily, weekly and monthly call reports for sales management as well as communicating to dealers about opportunities that will enhance the profitability of their businesses.
= Must have a passion for cycling.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in sales or business administration. Minimum of five to seven years of key account experience in a consumer products industry, as well as specific experience managing large volume mass merchants. Previous sales experience – mass market accounts, bicycle category or consumer products preferred. This position requires 80%-90% travel within the defined territory with occasional travel to meetings, trade shows etc.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
