Position: Production Manager

General Summary:

The Production Manager is directly responsible for the organization and oversight of all inventory, personnel, and procedures related to the preparation and movement of product throughout the Yeti Cycles warehouse facilities. This individual sets the production schedule based on order demand and works with the Warehouse Manager to drive processes which ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. This position is responsible for overall management of all sub-departments (Assembly, Small Parts Inventory, E-commerce, and Shipping & Receiving) which support the order fulfillment process.

Continual re-evaluation of best practices and clear measurement of productivity are critical to the position. The role directly interfaces with the Yeti Engineering department to ensure all established quality control and future safety standards have been exceeded. The position is responsible for all hiring and production staff development- the ability to manage a staff of 30+ production workers is fundamental. The Production Manager works with Accounting to establish the quarterly / annual budget and is responsible for the procurement & maintenance of all supplies & equipment used within the warehouse.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop production schedule and manage resources required to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Set production goals and establish procedures to exceed them
• Establish workflow procedures to enhance speed and efficiency
• Enforce quality control standards established by the Engineering department
• Establish sub-departments/positions within the department to better manage demand and create efficiencies/opportunities within the department
• Ensure all Health and Safety protocols are established and met
• Determine staffing levels and conduct all hiring / development of warehouse personnel
• Evaluate employee performance and make recommendations to management regarding promotions and compensation increases " Work with CFO & Controller to establish quarterly/annual warehouse budget
• Procure and maintain all supplies and equipment
• Liaise with other department managers to implement company objectives

Job Qualifications, Competencies, and Key Attributes:

• 3+ years in Production/Manufacturing Management or Commensurate Managerial experience in Bike Manufacturing or large store/chain bicycle retail
• Bachelor's Degree preferred (Business Administration)
• Ability to manage 25+ employees
• Knowledge of budgeting concepts and their application to a department
• Experience with writing/conducting performance evaluations
• Excellent organization and leadership skills
• Good communication skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and Production software knowledge
• Passionate Mountain Biker

Work Environment:
