Schedule: As an Outfitter your scheduled shifts may vary from mornings or evenings based upon need however we will try to maintain a consistent schedulefrom week to week. Most outfitters work in our retails store location 5 shifts per week averaging 7-8 hours per shift. Shifts adjust seasonally, but in season, range from 7am to 2pm, then 2pm to 8:30pm.
Vacation and Time Off: Time off is flexible but does require at least a two week notice and the Outfitter is required to get their own shifts covered by their fellow outfitter. No vacation time may be taken during Zion visitation holidays: Presidents Weekend, annual Spring Break periods, Easter weeks, Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend, Utah UEA week, Columbus Day weekend, Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Years Week.
We encourage planning your schedule as far in advance as possible, with a minimum of 30 days advance for any vacation time which would put you 5 days away in a row (including normal time off, EG extending a three day weekend into a 5 day weekend).
Roles and Responsibilities: The Zion Guru Outfitter needs to be very efficient, practical and consistent, yet the essence of the Guru Outfitter is to elevate not only the customer and visitor experience to Zion, it is also to elevate co-workers, and support the vision of Zion Guru.
