Basic Function
Looking to add an experienced E-Bike & Life-Style Product Manager
In this role, you will be responsible in the development of E-bike platforms to ensure the direction and goals of each of our brands. This person would provide optimum levels of leadership and need to get involved to increase the pace of projects and complete them on a timely basis, to insure finished product is in the market place at the right time and at the right price points. It includes product development associated with both frame and component design. To accomplish this, you would work closely with our assembly factories and component makers, which includes extensive travel to accomplish this requirement. The position requires you to be in constant contact with the market and always aware of any market shifts, but more importantly creating product that creates market shifts. The role will require attending key events as well as Haro customers and consumers to identify needs and innovation opportunities.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
= Development of new e-bike & life-style platforms and improve existing product within each brand/category
= Propose and develop new potential product categories
= Being skilled in price negotiations necessary to meet key price points
= Achieves product category sales and margin requirements
= Travel to Asia throughout the year to visit factories/vendors, develop product and QC production quality etc.
= Interface with social media and magazine editors
= Work closely with the VP of Product Development and VP of Sales to proactively develop/market product and educate our sales team
Qualifications and Requirements
= Bachelor’s Degree in business management or equivalent experience
= 3+ years of related bicycle product experience required
= Prior experience in bicycle product development, including experience in the electric bike market
= Should be familiar with many different bicycle designs to include MTB, Road, Life-Style, BMX, Juvenile etc.
= Possesses excellent analytical and planning skills
= Exhibits well-developed verbal/written communication skills, problem solving and decision-making abilities
= Demonstrates the ability to work effectively on a cross functional team environment
= Highly organized and capable of presenting material to various departments and/or customers
= Must have excellent communication skills, and be proficient in MS Excel/PowerPoint, along with familiarity with design software, such as CAD and others
= Most importantly is the desire to work hard, have a good attitude and enjoy people
