Job Description & Requirements
Description: The Distribution and Return Specialist is responsible for inbound shipments including returns, repairs, and inventory. The position requires attention to detail, experience with Operations, Logistics and Customer Care. Organizes inventory receipts and transfers, conducts cycle counts and aids the logistics team by stocking and organizing new stock. Manages consumer returns and repairs for Deuter and ORTOVOX customers and interfaces with sales and accounting to ensure positive consumer experience. The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, adheres to deadlines, analytical and has an affinity for the outdoors.
Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager
Responsibilities Returns
Warranty Returns
- Facilitate consumer warranty inquiries and repairs for both Deuter and Ortovox.
- Process returns & repairs
- Communicate brand messaging as it pertains to each brand, uphold brand standards and communicate with each customer within the allowed time frame outlined in the warranty SOP
- Maintain parts supply by tracking and communicating parts needs once a quarter
- Track Warranty issue trends and communicates accordingly with management
B2C Returns
- Issue RMAs as needed
- Tracks returns and communicates status updates
- Process Returns in a timely manner
- Prepare items for return to stock
Dealer Returns
- Receive and Process Wholesale returns
- Repackage/Restock as needed
- Provide Accounting with necessary documentation for credit memos
Responsibilities Inventory Management
Receiving & Inventory Transfers
- Prep locations for new stock
- Scanning into ERP
- Stocking & organization
- Reports anomalies to Inventory Control Specialist
Cycle Counts
- Conducts periodic inventory counts in warehouse & offsite locations
- Report and assist Inventory Control Specialist with error resolution
Shipping error resolution
- Cycle counts & item history research
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- High School graduate or GED
- 1-2 years Customer service experience
- 1-2 years Logistics experience, or equivalent
PREFERRED:
- Outdoor industry customer service experience
- Consumer facing sales and service experience
- General outdoor product and usage knowledge
- Avalanche beacon knowledge is a plus
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR KNOWLEDGE
- Valid Drivers License
- Computer literate. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Familiar with Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience with a working Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a plus.
- Lifting to 50lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Business office, trade show booth environments, travel (domestic) and work hours as needed to achieve goals.
COMPENSATION
- $18-$20/hour DOE
