Job Description & Requirements
Duties:
Staffing
o Recruit motivated staff members
o Create work environment that listens to and is responsive to associate needs and ideas
o Work within assigned budget to schedule staffing based on store needs
o Provide and organize ongoing training (product, procedures, policies, sales skills)
o Perform employee evaluations and ongoing feedback based on specific employee behavior and performance
o Lead by example in performing all sales associate duties
Sales & Customer Experience
o Listen to and identify customers’ needs and provide exceptional shopping experience
o Sell products that fits the customers’ intended use, abilities, and tastes
o Sell accessories that will enhance the customers’ outdoor experience
o Get to know our local, repeat customers and understand their needs.
Store Operations
o Create plans to maintain store appearance standards (folding, straightening, organizing, cleaning, displaying)
o Know, understand, and train staff on all store policies and procedures
o Delegate and oversee retail, rental, repair shop, warranty/return and backstock/restock
o Shrink management, computer troubleshooting, event assistance, special projects

o Prior experience in retail sales (ideally in the outdoor industry)
