Job Description & Requirements

CCAP Outreach Coordinator

The CCAP Outreach Coordinator is responsible for building community relationships involving schools, town agencies, community youth organizations, coaches, parents and youth riders. Success includes inspiring and fostering youth riders and coaches to participate in the CCAP’s School and Regional youth teams and associated league race events. The Outreach Coordinator will identify and engage prospective program leaders and coaches, and help ensure they receive the necessary resources and information to lead sustainable youth clubs and race teams. Additionally, the Outreach Coordinator will identify and connect youth and their families with CCAP cycling programs that will allow them to flourish in the sport. 

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week with a fluid schedule. Non-race event days follow a 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekday schedule, except in the case of morning or evening program commitments, such as school clinics, team information sessions, or other relevant events.

Duties

  • Work collaboratively with and follow the direction of the Director of Youth Programming;

  • Attend CCAP league races, camps, clinics, coach summits and other events;

  • Develop opportunities for youth to engage in cycling via MTB, road, cyclocross and other disciplines and bike activities;

  • Develop relationships & partnerships with other community youth organizations and other organizations with strong youth participation;

  • Assist in hosting clinics, information and cycling skills sessions with youth teams and partner organizations to drive youth participation in CCAP events and programs; follow up on leads;

  • Maintain regular communication and dialogue with coaches, Assist in coaches education, communications and tracking of coaching requirements;

  • Maintain organizational CRM records of all outreach efforts;

  • Provide brief updates regularly to the CCAP Director of Youth Programming after outreach meetings and events;

  • Maintain and track bikes and other equipment granted to teams;

  • Communicate with CCAP team families about team registrations, events, and volunteer opportunities; respond to requests for program information and inquiries related to all programs; Encourage youth and coaches to participate in league events;

  • Assist in creating and program registration pages, track program registrations, update rosters, resolve order and billing issues; maintain team stores and designs, order jerseys;

  • Assist in validating/obtaining junior race licenses, tracking program participants, and producing reports;

  • Responsibilities also include course and venue set up and breakdown, managing registration procedure, race and league scoring and other duties, as needed;

  • Perform other tasks as directed by CCAP Executive Director and Director of Youth Programming; 

  • Successful candidates must pass a background check required to work with children. 

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be social, outgoing, positive, and encouraging;

  • Previous experience in recruiting, presentations, and public speaking preferred;

  • Experience or interest in youth development or youth coaching experience and an understanding of long-term athlete development and trail stewardship;

  • Self-directed, outgoing and personable, detail and solutions-oriented, passionate about customer service, and a team player;

  • Proficiency with technology;

  • Comprehensive cycling skills are required, including racing experience;

  • Attention to detail is essential; Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Applications; experience with Adobe products, Bikereg and CRM suites are favorable but not necessary.

  • Candidate must maintain a driver’s license;

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
