The Brand Content & Community Specialist contributes to the overall brand, creative, social and marketing strategies on the Swiftwick marketing team. The Brand Content & Community Specialist is a highly organized individual with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time. They are tapped into the outdoor and athletic industries and know how to speak authentically to our core and target audiences using the Swiftwick brand voice. They are well-versed in a variety of marketing concepts, principles, and tactics with an emphasis on digital engagement. They generate creative ideas and solutions, and collaborate cross functionally to bring them to life. They have a strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape and must use both their creative & analytical skills to build, launch, and monitor campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, project manages, and executes marketing content strategy that accurately reflects brand voice and reaches target audiences for a variety of channels, with a focus on email, social media, blog, website, and events.
- Own marketing content and communications calendar. Plan content and timelines for email, social, and blog using strategic insights and understanding of core customers.
- Shows a deep understanding of and passion for the Swiftwick brand position, target customers, and core-users of Swiftwick products.
- Acting as the voice of our customer, provides thought leadership and input on brand photography, videography, and written content.
- Attends and may participate in immersive brand experiences, events, races and other brand initiatives where the Swiftwick customer adventures.
- Participates in cross-functional brainstorms and collaborates with other internal teams to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives.
- In partnership with the Brand Marketing Coordinator, cultivates and curates relationships within the industry including brand partnerships, local organizations, influencers, and athletes.
- Lead community management to drive increased engagement and participation.
- Actively monitor and report on content performance; present insights and best practices on areas of oversight.
- Stay current with digital, social, consumer, and industry trends and make timely recommendations and improvements to evolve brand presence.
- The above represents general responsibilities for the position. Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be assigned as defined by the executive management team supporting company goals and initiatives.
Experience
Hard Skills
- 3-5 years in digital marketing, brand marketing, communication, or advertising role.
- Professional experience creating content for the outdoor, athletic, and/or fitness industry, coupled with a personal passion for at least one of these areas.
- Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field of study.
- Experience with developing and executing strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience in content management systems, and social media business and analytics platforms.
- Experience with direct to consumer/e-commerce preferred.
- Excellent writing skills, both short & long format.
- Experience implementing SEO best practices.
- Experience with email marketing tools, such as Klaviyo, preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and gSuite.
