Bicycle Mechanic

Campus Bicycles is Chico’s longest continually operated bike shop. We are predominantly a Trek dealer but also stock Surly, All City, Yuba, and Chico local handbuilt bikes. We stock and sell a full line of hybrids, gravel touring bikes, high end mountain bikes, as well as E-Bikes. Chico is a college town and is known for having a high volume of bicycle commuters. We are a full service shop and repair all types of bikes. We stock and sell Bontrager, Paul Components, Dyna Plug, and other Chico local brands as well.

The shops main focus is adventure cycling and supporting our local bicycle commuters. Our staff are all commuters and adventure cyclists and we have tailored our shop to reflect that. We stock a large supply of bikepacking gear and bikepacking / touring specific bicycles. We also host mechanic workshops, bikepacking workshops, community gear swaps, and host and support bikepacking trips out of the shop. We are all about community here. We focus on workplace enjoyment. It is very important to us that we are able to be flexible with our staff to allow time for travel, other hobbies, and just life in general. Life comes before work, and some of us are working to afford our next bike trip.
