Adventure Guide at Castle Hot Springs Arizona
Castle Hot Spring is 45 minutes north of Phoenix near Lake Pleasant in a wild and beautiful section of the Sonoran desert. We are a luxury resort to a maximum of 72 guests. Excellent benefits, pay and lifestyle. Housing is an option for the right canidate. Work Sept- through May with 6-8 weeks off in the summer! Start date August 18th, 2022

Job Description:
Deliver and facilitate safe, meaningful, and quality outdoor experiences. Resort experience is preferred but not required. This is an outdoor guide position with an emphasis on a broad range of outdoor activities. Experience in climbing, rope systems, or rope rescue should be highlighted on your resume or application. Via Ferrata, climbing, e-biking, hiking, and shooting are just some of the adventures that we provide. Naturalist, narrative, interpersonal, and clear communication skills are essential. Dependability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required. We can train the right candidate in some of these skill sets; however, past guiding experience is a requirement.
Work Performed:
Delivers a guest experience that is of the highest level of service by utilizing resources and cross-departmental communication.
Training will be provided in specific CHS activities and adventures. Ability to multitask and gain a thorough knowledge of all activities and adventures offered, including Via Ferrata, rock climbing, hiking, air gun shooting, and E-Bikes.
Work collaboratively with fellow guides and management.
Operates in accordance with the Castle Hot Springs Vision.
Completes daily assigned checklists and job duties with a sense of urgency.
Records all defects and provides solutions to ensure guest satisfaction with all departments by utilizing full-circle customer service, especially when requests are not immediately met.
Ability to support all CHS safety and emergency procedures and policies.
Must have own transportation, and a shuttle service is available.
Supervision Received: Adventure Director and General Manager.
Responsibilities and Authorities:
Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of CHS information at all times
Requires independent decision-making and deductive reasoning abilities
A high degree of communication and coordination with other departments
Minimum Requirements:
5 + years of outdoor recreation work is a baseline requirement. Climbing experience and the ability to work at height. Current Advanced First (WFA) or preferably Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification. College degree or equivalent work experience. AMGA or EMT certification is a strong consideration and will warrant additional compensation. Must have strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease. Basic computer skills are required, which will be supported with training.
