Position Summary

Ruger is seeking an Event Marketing Manager to lead the execution of event marketing plans including event production, trade show management and sales support. The Event Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing Operations.

 

Qualifications

  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Strong managerial skills and ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, spanning across sales, marketing and product management functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills when interacting not only internally with colleagues, but also externally with industry partners and external vendors.
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially written.
  • Wide breadth of traditional marketing skills, with the ability to move between strategic planning and ideation, as well as hands-on execution.
  • Ability to recognize new marketing trends and experiment with them, innovate and create new strategies that attract customers and help us succeed over the competition.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Event Production / Trade Show Management – Execute end-to-end event details including sponsorship, staff, travel, marketing materials and shipping coordination for B2B and B2C trade shows and sponsored events. To include major trade shows, regional shows / events, sales driven promotions, store-within-a-store locations and other corporate / sales / marketing events.
  • Budget / Vendor Management – Source, negotiate with and track all event related expenses, partners, vendors and suppliers.

 

Experience

  • Event management and coordination.
  • Firearms industry experience preferred.
  • Corporate marketing and/or agency experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in marketing, communication or business administration preferred.

 

Additional Requirements: 
Must be able to successfully pass a drug and background screen.
