Job Description & Requirements

The OEM and Distribution Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and sales support to the sales team to help them achieve their sales goals. This person will work closely with the FSA sales team to ensure that all sales-related tasks and activities are completed efficiently and effectively.

This person will also work closely and directly with OEM clients and distribution partners to understand their needs and develop customized solutions that meet those needs to grow sales of FSA products to OEM and distribution partners in the industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and sales support to the sales team, including (but not limited to): preparing sales materials, maintaining sales records, preparing proposals, preparing presentations, creating/managing/tracking/adjusting sales orders, following up on leads, managing customer relationships, and creating and maintaining price lists.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of sales strategies and plans
  • Help manage and update the customer database
  • Coordinate with other departments (such as Marketing, Product development, Purchasing, Tech/customer service) to ensure that sales efforts are supported
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
  • Monitor and track sales metrics to provide regular updates to the sales team and management
  • Support the sales team by researching market trends, competitive information, and other relevant data
  • Develop and maintain relationships with OEM customers and Distribution partners
  • Understand OEM customers needs and develop customized solutions that meet those needs
  • Help both OEM and Distribution customers select the right products and provide guidance on product specifications and features
  • Negotiate prices and terms with customers as needed
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow sales
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports
  • Attend trade shows and other industry events to promote our company's products and services

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field or 2-3 years of experience in a sales, sales support or administrative role in the bicycle industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of the bicycle industry and market trends

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus

 

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in an office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Travel will be necessary to attend meetings or events.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required to support sales activities and attend events.
