Job Description & Requirements
Cervelo Cycles is searching for an Inside Sales Representative to collaborate with the Outside Sales Representatives and execute territory sales plans from annual account planning and pre-season order generation to on-time delivery of product. This role works behind-the-scenes as a quarterback for Cervélo’s sales operations to meet or exceed monthly quotas and deadlines for the Western US.
Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Manage sales order process for Cervelo dealers
- Generate pre-season sales forecasts for dealers using historical data and inventory management
- Collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to identify prospects and establish new accounts
- Coordinate with Outside Sales Representatives to execute the sales plan, manage the flow of inventory and build relationships with dealers
- Recommend termination of unfit dealers and addition of new dealers as appropriate by providing relevant data
- Work with select dealers to manage overflow of inventory
- Provide management with accurate monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts for Western US territory per model to guide sales planning process
- Provide regular budget reports and year-to-date sales reports for Outside Sales Representatives and management
- Represent Cervelo at industry events such as Brainbike, Brainbike Business and Interbike
- Gather feedback from consumers and retailers to incorporate into the sales strategy
Competencies and Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a sales role in specialty distribution or outdoor industry retail
- Experience coordinating with Outside Sales Representatives on shared goals
- Expert knowledge of bicycle mechanics and bicycle components
- Expert computer skills, experience with Microsoft Great Plains or similar system is required
- Demonstrated ability to set and meet revenue and margin targets
- Experience in managing your own workload and managing time effectively
- Ability to work as part of a virtual team
- Ability to travel 10-25%
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field is preferred
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.
