Posting Description & Requirements

Outdoor brand is seeking an Experienced Outside Sales Agency with a minimum of 3 years in the running, multisport, outdoor and hiking market. Ideal candidates are established reps with existing retail relationships within this given territory.

The brand is a Footwear and Apparel focused brand that has outstanding growth potential with specialty accounts in Running and Outdoor business segment. Products include running shoes, training shoes, apparel for trail running and accessories to support the brand enthusiasts.

Responsibilities include identifying and registering dealers, educating customers in using the B2B portal, and maintaining high level of customer satisfaction. Representative will be required to regularly visit accounts in the assigned territory and represent the brand to the best of his or hers knowledge and expertise.

 

The ideal candidate will need to;

 

·        Establish rapport and build credibility, in part by demonstrating an appreciation for solutions to the retailers business needs, such as profitability and inventory turns.

·        Be capable of selling product from obsolete collections or previous seasons while maximizing profitability and minimizing losses.

·        Customize Sales Strategy: Articulate and efficiently present Inov-8 offering in light of the retailers expectations and needs. Maintains, serves and builds from existing business to meet and exceed seasonal sales plans.

·        Visit and manage all retailers frequently to monitor and drive presence and sell-through performance.

·        Be capable of identifying and estimating territory sales, distribution and promotion opportunities.

·        Conduct effective seasonal category clinics for all retail locations in the assigned region.

·        Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the Northwest market to service existing accounts and identify new sales opportunities.

·        Identifies opportunities in the marketplace to new points of distribution which comply with the Inov-8 distribution strategies.

·        Build short the and long term detailed plans for growth, new account targets, distribution, and category growth opportunities for each category segment of the brand.

·        Possesses a thorough understanding of the Outdoor Industry marketplace, competitor information, consumer insight, market penetration, etc.

·        Develops and successfully leverage cross-functional internal relationships (Sales Planning, Marketing, Accounting, Customer Service and merchandising)

Skills:

·        Conduct effective seasonal category clinics for all retail locations in the assigned region.

·        Reporting on clinics activity, territorial support and outcomes of the actions.

·        Prepare customized plans and presentations for each customer.

·        Manage a discretionary budget to educate and excite key staff members, partners and owners.

·        Deliver attentive in-store brand presence winning best floor-wall placement and merchandising.

·        It will be crucial that you drive assortment, color stories, technologies and functionalities to maximize brand floor presentation and collections.

·        Visit and manage all retailers frequently to monitor and drive presence and sell-through performance.

·        Capable of selling product from obsolete collections or previous seasons while maximizing profitability and minimizing losses.

·        Capable of identifying and estimating territory sales, distribution and promotion opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

 

·        Epitomizes a passion for the outdoors, knowledge or practical experience particularly with Trail Running.

·        Knowledge of specific territory. Existing working relationships with Specialty Running accounts and Specialty Outdoor Accounts is preferred.

·        Expert at establishing rapport and building credibility, in part by demonstrating an appreciation for solutions to the retailers business needs, such as profitability and inventory turns.

·        Must have experience in both Footwear and Performance apparel business.

·        Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree would be preferable.

·        Robust character who naturally challenges the status quo, comfortable confronting and challenging at all levels.

 

This is a commission based position with no benefits, and all expenses must be assumed by the Sales Representative. It will be required to have non-conflicting lines.
