?Sleeping Giant serves the Big Horn Basin and Greater Yellowstone area with recreational downhill skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and zip-lining. The recreation area is located just outside of Yellowstone’s East Gate, and only 50 miles west of Cody, Wyoming.
Under new ownership, The Piazza family hopes to see Sleeping Giant act as a hub for the many activities the Shoshone National Forest offers. The Sleeping Giant Recreation Area is a family recreation destination that boasts alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, and snowshoeing. Access to lodging and snowmobiling can be found nearby. Sleeping Giant features zip line tours in the Summer, making it a great destination year-round.
