Company Description

Cambria Bicycle Outfitter was founded in 1986 in the beautiful seaside town of Cambria, CA. Cambria is located just south of the Big Sur wilderness, halfway in between San Francisco and Los Angeles. We are in what those who have ridden here call The Mecca of Cycling. CBO advertised in the very first issue of Mountain Bike Action magazine. And we've been in every issue of MBA since. We've grown from a small 1,000 square ft building to a large 25,000 square ft warehouse, four bike shops crammed with the hottest stuff and thousands of friends around the globe. We've been with the sport all along, making sure our customers always could get the coolest stuff, even the fringe if that was what they desired. The plan was simple. Test everything we sell. Offer the best prices, the most comprehensive technical expertise, and guarantee satisfaction. Then actually stock the stuff riders can't get at their local store. We had to try everything, so every bike was different, sometimes even to the tune of bizarre. The staff and customers alike pushed these bikes to the limit, no matter what the cost. True to our roots, our Cambria store still services the die-hard locals with and shows off some museum pieces from the beginning. Our two flagship stores in San Luis Obispo and Santa Rosa boast huge floors full of bikes plus a massive selection of the most sought after brands in cycling, and the best staff that can be found. And our new Paso Robles Warehouse showroom boasts access to over 40,000 items. With many of our Staff being at CBO for a decade or more, we are proud to say we have the most technically experienced staff around. We know this because unlike some places that have gotten big and corporate, were still the big group of mud heads, road weenies, steel loving single speeders and huckers we were when we were kids.
