Bob “Bobcat” Bradfield shared his passion for mountain biking by establishing Bobcat Bicycles in 1994. Independent and locally owned, we have been serving Monterey County from our Oldtown Salinas location ever since. In November of 2019, Bob passed away doing what he loved: riding his bike. His wife, Annie, with the help of several long time employees, took over the business at that time to honor her husband and celebrate the shops 25th year in business. In September of 2021, long time employee Craig Tucker and his wife Bridgette purchased the business from Annie. They look forward to providing excellent service for many years to come.
Our staff lives and breathes bikes, and with more than 25 years of experience we offer friendly expert advice, no pressure sales, quality service, and professional fittings. We are committed to continued education in the industry and providing the best customer service.
We are passionate about giving back to our community and getting as many kids on bikes as possible giving them a healthy outlet and a really fun time. We provide support locally to the Salinas High Cowboy Mountain Bike Racing Team and Palma High School Mountain Bike Club, Little Bellas, and CCCX Race Events. We also participate in “Mountain Bike Monday’s,” a local kid under 13 group ride, and IMBA’s annual “Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day.”
Whether you’re an expert or novice rider, we look forward to serving you and invite you to come by the shop so we can get you on the right bike so you can get outside and have some fun, because there is never a bad day to ride.
