| The UWEU will perform as an umbrella organization for eight VISTA Volunteers who will provide a number of new and innovative projects within the communities. One program will assist to increase the capacity and involvement of individuals in a budget program called Individual Development Account (IDA). The goal is to guide individuals through this program to assist them in achieving financial planning/stability. VISTA's will work with the current and on-going Community Angel Tree program which will assists individuals and families in Carbon and Emery Counties during the holiday season. Development of a financial workshop to assist those applying for Angel Tree. The VISTA will participating in grant writing and fundraising activities. They will work on the Read UP reading program organization and growth possibilities. VISTAs will work on the development of the youth volunteer program with the youth and possible volunteer opportunities. |
