The Role:

Grundéns is Seeking a Key Accounts Manager, responsible for managing and executing apparel, footwear, and accessories sales categories and strategies in our Alaska and PNW territory, and potentially beyond.  This role will focus on seasonal sell in, new product launches and initiatives, purchase order management, weekly forecasting, and daily interdepartmental collaboration. Grundens Key Accounts Manager will inherit some of the longest standing dealer and customer relationships with Grundens, in the commercial marine, sport fishing, work wear and outdoor channels. Therefore, customer experience is a top priority for this role. 

Your Responsibilities and Duties:

The Key Accounts Manager will identify opportunities and set priorities for account base to achieve the sales plan and market share growth objectives

Leverage resources and develop and nurture relationships with key accounts in the region to maximize sales programs and initiatives

Analyze sales-related information and statistics to accurately and effectively plan customer interactions

Monitor e-tailing trends and their impact on the business

Provide sales forecasts and information about key products to sales, operations, and product teams

Maintain expenses and promotional budgets

Coordinate activities with Sales, Service, and Marketing to increase brand awareness and revenue generation for strategic accounts

Conduct frequent clinic and merchandising visits

Effectively plan and execute sell through strategies with the retailers

Effectively grow the Grundéns footprint through elite assortment planning and channel right assortments

 

Your Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university and at least five years direct outdoor/hunting/fishing apparel sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates should have demonstrated experience and understanding executing sales strategies, influencing buyers and negotiation.

Key ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.

Understanding of key account retailers and Hunt/Fish/Outdoor channels the Alaska and PNW territory.

Qualified candidates will be results oriented and performance driven to achieve departmental, in-territory and individual goals; Customer focused with proven skills prospecting, developing opportunities, closing new business, and growing existing accounts in a premium product sector

Have an analytical mindset for solving problems, forecasting, budgeting, expense management, profitability and loss, consumer selling, and territory analysis.

Effective communication skills including presentation, written, and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences.

Tactical execution skills including managing competing priorities effectively, organization and time management.

Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

This position is based in the Pacific Northwest and will report into our Poulsbo, WA office. It involves frequent travel (30-40%), including significant overnight travel, making scheduled face-to-face calls, cold calls, and attending meetings and shows. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be located near a major aiport.
