Job Description & Requirements

The salary will be negotiated based on education and experience. We offer a fun, fast-paced, dog-friendly work environment with excellent benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness). Our Headquarters is in Ashland, Oregon, and local candidates can work a hybrid remote schedule, with longer shifts Monday through Thursday and half-days on Fridays. **For the right candidate, we are open to fully remote work in the Pacific Northwest with occasional travel requirements.

The Assistant Marketing Manager executes strategic brand initiatives and go-to-market plans for wholesale and consumer channels around the Sunday Afternoons brand and private label business. Key focus areas include project management for digital marketing (eCommerce and paid media), development of visual assets, seasonal video and photography, wholesale catalogs, and communications support for PR and social teams. The Assistant Marketing Manager is a key liaison with the Company’s outside creative, digital, social, and PR teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks represent what the position typically performs; tasks and work priorities may change at any time, and other job duties may be assigned.

  • Leads and executes timelines and deliverables for omnichannel marketing, including DTC, paid media, and marketplace support (Amazon, ExpertVoice, and key drop-ship partners), in close collaboration with Senior Graphic Designer, eCommerce Manager, Social Media Manager, Email Marketing Manager, agency of record, PR team, and digital agency.
  • Leads the seasonal wholesale global GTM planning process, including brand and product story development and launch support for eCommerce, catalogs, digital assets, sell-in tools, B2B website, lifestyle and studio photography, video production, pitch materials, retail, tradeshow, and sales meeting support, including project management, execution, and budget tracking support.
  • In collaboration with eCommerce and social teams, direct TikTok agency to develop branded content, affiliate partnerships, and influencer marketing that support brand direction and key initiatives. Approves creative and provides constructive feedback. Supports the rollout of associated contests, promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Fields all creative requests, including assigning resources (freelance or contract) as needed. Manages 3rd party graphic designers, copywriters, and proofreaders, including copyediting and proofing materials.
  • With direction from the VP of Marketing, leads the content creation, design, and implementation of marketing materials for consumer and trade use, new business development, and the Ashland, Oregon retail store.
  • Supports global sales team with key account pitches and presentations seasonally and ad-hoc tools for private label, marketplace accounts, and wholesale.
  • Supports VP of Marketing with overall marketing communications and market research efforts, including ongoing project management and cascading communications around marketing initiatives.
  • Works with an outside PR firm to brief press kits, support interview opportunities, and support on a seasonal or as-needed basis.
  • Assists with developing POP, fixtures, and other sales tools.
  • Coordinates with the retail store to develop seasonal stories and events that support seasonal product launches, sales, and other promotions.
  • Proactively recommends new ideas, programs, and ways to further drive brand awareness, engagement, and retention around the Sunday Afternoons brand.
  • Manages, codes, and tracks all marketing invoices for the marketing team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or equivalent experience.

· Five to seven years of experience in Marketing, with a communications focus.

· Preference for candidates with apparel or accessories experience in the outdoor industry.

· Proficiency in project management software (Wrike), Slack, and Microsoft platforms, and familiarity with design software (Adobe).
