Job Description & Requirements

2025 Season is June 5th through October 31st. We bring staff in mid-May to set up for the season and training and keep staff through mid-November to close up.

We are a small remote fishing resort floating in the North Cascades National Park/Recreation Area in Washington State. Our business consists of 15 rental cabins and a fleet of rental equipment including motorboats, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. We are here to help the public enjoy the National Park and its backcountry as much as we do.

We are looking for hires who are self motivated, fast pace oriented, easily adapt to new situations, thrive in the wilderness, work well with a diverse team, and are positive in spirit. You must be a good roommate, kind, considerate & possess good communication skills. Experience is not necessary for our positions with the exception of our OPV 6 Pack Boat Captains.

We provide paid training, we usually cross-train our hires to help wherever is needed. As a Ross Lake crew member helping guests and co-workers is the main goal, supporting each other in all areas is what makes a great crew. Our lifestyle here is very secluded. There is no road access to the resort, the crew hikes in and out for their work week, and your car will be parked at our trailhead. You must have your own reliable transportation! Because there are no stores nearby (minimum of a 1 to 3-hour drive), going out shopping for supplies such as groceries & personal items is a must. We recommend having the ability to get away on your weekends. Employees stay here five days a week and have a two-day weekend (not necessarily weekend days). We do not allow seasonal crew to have pets.

The crew quarters have both single rooms and bunk bed-style sleeping arrangements with a shared living/kitchen/bathroom/utility space. Housing assignments and living space are decided after the seasonal staff has been selected. (All Covid and CDC requirements will apply to housing during the 2024 season)
The positions are full-time (40 hours a week). Our wage scale starts at Washington state minimum wage (plus tips where applicable) hourly wage may be adjusted for knowledge and experience in the position the applicant is selected for.

Our 2025 season runs from June 5th through October 31st and we usually start our staff in mid-May to get things opened up. Most of our staff stays on until mid-November to close up operations. Please check our website for more information on our resort: http://www.rosslakeresort.com/
