Position Overview:

After a long and distinguished career, our long-standing New England sales leader will be retiring.  This has created a rare opportunity for the right individual or team.

Cascade Designs is looking for motivated and results-driven Independent Sales Representatives to maintain and expand our specialty retail and key account relationships throughout the New England region, which includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

This field-based, independent role is centered on building strong retailer relationships, increasing sell-through, and growing the presence of Cascade Designs' portfolio of brands in the territory. Ideal candidates will have established connections with specialty retailers and a deep knowledge of the outdoor industry.

This is a commission-only position and reports directly to Sr North American Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Drive Growth and Success: Develop and implement a dynamic sales strategy designed to achieve revenue targets and expand Cascade Designs' presence across your territory.

·         Build Meaningful Partnerships: Foster strong, trusted relationships with specialty retailers to maximize market share and enhance brand visibility.

·         Be a Valued Partner: Travel regularly within your territory to connect with retail partners, delivering exceptional value through consistent in-store presence and support.

·         Champion Our Brands: Present and promote Cascade Designs' family of brands, ensuring impactful merchandising, engaging product presentations, and successful in-store execution.

·         Engage Retailers: Conduct engaging product clinics and training sessions to equip dealers and their staff with knowledge about Cascade Designs' innovative technologies and brand initiatives.

·         Unlock Opportunities: Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth potential and drive results.

·         Collaborate for Success: Work closely with internal teams in sales, marketing, and dealer service to deliver seamless account management and outstanding customer experiences.

·         Be the Face of Cascade Designs: Represent our brands at trade shows, dealer meetings, and consumer events, inspiring retailer engagement and strengthening brand advocacy.

·         Deliver Insights: Provide clear, accurate, and timely reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and competitive trends to support informed business decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience That Drives Results: 5+ years of successful outside sales experience, ideally within the outdoor hard goods or sporting goods industry.

Key Account Expertise: 3+ years of experience managing regional Key Accounts (EMS, LL Bean) with a solid understanding of backend sales operations and strategy.

Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with outdoor industry trends, key retailers, and the competitive landscape.

Independent & Accountable: Proven ability to manage your territory with confidence, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a commitment to follow-through.

Exceptional Communicator: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills that foster positive partnerships.

Willingness to Connect: Eager and able to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including overnight trips, to build meaningful relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to support reporting, presentations, and account management.
